The objective of labor/management cooperatives are to preserve, identify and expand employment opportunities for union contractors and craft workers. BCANJ currently supports the following:

The Labor Information Binder is a helpful reference for contractors who employ trade labor.  It includes wage rates for the general construction trades, contract summaries, trade directories and much more.  It is continually updated throughout the year.

Project Labor Agreements (PLA) can create market opportunities for reputable, quality contractors and are a valuable tool for the public entity.  BCANJ tracks all PLA initiatives and assists members in developing competitive agreements.

Through BCANJ's National Labor News, we track issues pertinent to our members, such as immigration reform, contract compliance, construction industry employment and economic statistics. Labor News is published quarterly as an insert in our monthly Update in March, June, September and December. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

The Union Contractor Advantage is a Video or CD-ROM, produced by BCANJ, on the caliber of union construction.  The nine-minute production, concentrating on the management/labor partnership, emphasizes the union contractor's ability to bring jobs in on time, within budget, and to an owner's satisfaction.
